A seldom-climbed Beartooth summit named for its bow-shaped profile, reached cross-country from Dude Lake off the West Fork Rock Creek trail system.
From the West Fork Rock Creek Trailhead, follow the main trail toward Quinnebaugh Meadow; a side drainage near the second culvert bridge leads up toward Senal and Dude Lakes. From Dude Lake, the route leaves any trail and climbs cross-country onto Bowback Mountain's north ridge, following it to the summit over talus and tundra.
