The third of the Pioneer Mountains' "Big Three" (with Hyndman and Old Hyndman), sitting out from the main divide with excellent views of the range.
Cobb Peak is reached via the same Hyndman Creek approach used for its two larger neighbors, passing directly below the peak on the way toward Old Hyndman.
