Mount Cramer is the second-highest peak in the Sawtooth Wilderness and the high point of Boise County, Idaho. It can be climbed in a day from the upper Hell Roaring trailhead on its east side, or approached as part of a backpacking trip from the east, south, or north.
From Stanley, drive south on SR-75 about 12 miles and turn right on Decker Flat Road (FR-210); at 0.4 miles turn left on Hell Roaring Creek Road to reach the upper trailhead. A Sawtooth Wilderness permit is required and can be picked up at the Stanley Ranger Station or self-issued at the trailhead.
