The standard route from the south side of Mount Baker, the Easton Glacier route is slightly shorter and less crevassed than the Coleman-Deming. A great option for those approaching from the south or looking for a less crowded Baker experience.
One of Mount Baker's two most popular standard routes, approaching from the south side. Generally considered the more beginner-friendly of Baker's two main glacier routes, with moderate glacier slopes and a single steeper section on the Roman Wall just below the summit plateau.
From the Park Butte Trailhead (3,360 ft), cross Sulfur Creek and Schreiber's Meadows, climb through forest to Morovitz Meadows (~2 mi), then gain the Railroad Grade moraine crest, where most parties establish a high camp between 5,500-6,800 ft.
