History
First climbed in 1888 by R.L. Farmer and E.C. Cross. Jefferson's remote location in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness and its technical summit have kept it less visited than Hood despite its prominence. It is one of 57 ultra-prominent peaks of the contiguous US.
