A remote Pasayten summit connected to Mount Lago by a long above-treeline ridge, usually visited as part of a multi-peak traverse rather than alone.
Approach as for Mount Lago: drive to the Slate Pass Trailhead and use the Robinson Creek/Middle Fork Pasayten trail network to reach a high camp in the area. From Lago or a similar camp, a ridge walk north connects to Ptarmigan Peak, crossing a gentle face on Lago's north side and one or two snowfields that may require care (and occasionally light snow travel gear) depending on the season, before a final scramble to Ptarmigan's summit.
Descend by reversing the ridge connection back toward Lago and camp, or continue the traverse to other peaks in the area if that is the trip's plan.
