A good-value, relatively short summit near Wolf Mountain and the Sawtooth Peaks spires, offering big views for a modest effort by Beartooth standards.
Access is from the same Goose Lake area near Cooke City used for Wolf Mountain. A trail covers most of the approach -- roughly the first four miles are Class 1 on trail -- before the final mile leaves the trail for Class 2 terrain up the southeast ridge to the summit.
