The classic Enchantments through-hike descends from the Core Zone through Snow Lakes to Stuart Lake and out to Colchuck Lake — a 19-mile point-to-point through some of the most stunning alpine scenery in Washington.
From the Snow Lakes Trailhead, climb steeply to the upper Snow Lakes and enter the Core Enchantment Zone at 7,200 feet. Traverse past Perfection Lake, Leprechaun Lake, Inspiration Lake, and Viviane Lake before crossing Asgard Pass (7,800 ft) — a steep, boulder-scramble descent — to Colchuck Lake. Finish with a 4-mile walk out to the Eightmile/Colchuck trailhead.
Snow Lakes Trailhead is off Icicle Creek Road south of Leavenworth. Colchuck Trailhead is also on Icicle Creek Road. Car shuttle required. Core Zone permit required for all entry — apply through Recreation.gov lottery in February.
