History
Once a large stratovolcano, Broken Top has been heavily glaciated and eroded to expose its internal structure. The resulting terrain — colorful volcanic rock, small glaciers, and a dramatic summit crater — makes it one of the most scenic objectives in the Oregon Cascades.
