History
The Three Sisters volcanic cluster has been a landmark for indigenous peoples of the region for thousands of years. South Sister, the youngest of the three, has shown signs of unrest since 2001 with ground deformation near the summit. Its easiest route requires no ropes or technical gear in summer.
