Best known as the home of Mount Bachelor Ski Resort, the volcanic peak itself is an easy summit walk above the top of the chairlifts. A broad shield volcano with gentle slopes, it offers excellent views of the Three Sisters and surrounding Cascades and is a popular ski touring destination.

One of the youngest volcanoes in the Cascades, Mount Bachelor is a shield volcano formed within the last 15,000 years. Its snowy flanks and reliable snowpack have made it one of the premier ski resorts in the Pacific Northwest.
