The southern section of the Wonderland passes through the park's most accessible terrain, connecting Paradise with Longmire through old-growth forest and subalpine meadows with dramatic views of the Tatoosh Range.
Starting from the Paradise Visitor Complex, the trail descends through Narada Falls and the lush Nisqually River valley to Longmire. This section is the most popular day-hike portion of the Wonderland and can be done without a permit as a point-to-point day hike using the free park shuttle.
Paradise and Longmire are both accessible via WA-706 from the Nisqually entrance. Free park shuttle runs between the two locations in summer — check NPS schedule.
